We have some long-running regular events at the Edmonstone Hall that you might be interested in – here is some more information on them:
LYNDA TURNER SCHOOL OF DANCE
Lynda has been teaching dancing in the village since 1986. Children (boys too!) from 2½ upwards are taught ballet, tap, modern stage and jazz dancing.
Classes are held in the Edmonstone Hall on Mondays from 4:00pm – 6:00pm (pre-school and primary 3 & 4) and also on Tuesdays from 3:45pm – 5:45pm (primary 5 & 6 and primary 1 & 2) with actual times depending on which age group you fall into. Classes run during term-time, and the cost varies depending on the class. The classes tend to be fairly small so each child can be treated individually.
Most of the children take part in examinations to improve our standards and all of them take part in our annual dancing display. We also provide “the dancers” for the local pantomime run by the Blane Valley Players”
Anyone interested in any of these dance classes can contact Lynda on 01360 770390 or email geolyn2000@hotmail.com.
